Wheel building is an advanced bike mechanic skill but we break this complicated job into manageable parts to demystify it. To cover all the material this is a 6 hour course with a break for lunch in the middle.

This course is intended to provide you with a comprehensive overview of how to build wheels and the experience of building one from scratch. It takes years to become a master wheel builder, but this course will allow you to understand the principles behind this dark art and to go away and start measuring, lacing, tensioning and truing in your spare time. We’ll provide all the parts you’ll need to build up a wheel for the shop. Alternatively, you can build wheels to keep. Email us to discuss this option and we can measure and price up parts to have them ready on the day.

 

Cancellations

Cancellation details. If you have booked a place on a course and need to cancel or transfer to a later date, you can do so without charge by getting in touch and letting us know up to 7 days before the course. If your cancellation is later than this time a full refund cannot be issued unless we are able to fill the space.

Sometimes courses may be cancelled by us due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case a full refund will be issued or the booking re-arranged.
