Vintage Falcon step-through bicycle
This is a lovely vintage Falcon bicycle in a “step-through” style, meaning the top tube is lower for easy mounting & dismounting. Falcon were managed from the 1950s under British bicycle racer Ernie Clements, and was probably maufactured at Smethwick-based RCI (Roberts Cycle Industries).
We aren’t sure of the exact model name but it looks to be from around the 1970s. We have replaced the chain, brake pads, cables, and tyres, and have serviced the hubs.
Featuring a 2×5 speed Shimano 600 series groupset with down tube shifters, Stronglight 100 LX crankset, Selle Italia Anatomica saddle, Weinmann brakes, and mudguards & rear rack, this bike would make a great town commuter.
